Creating a Porinoi account is quick and free. You have three ways to sign up:

  • Email OTP — enter your email address, receive a one-time code, and verify instantly
  • Google — click Continue with Google and sign in with your Google account
  • Facebook — click Continue with Facebook and authorise Porinoi

After signing up, complete your profile by adding your name, age, gender, preferences, and a clear profile photo to improve your match quality.

You must be 18 years or older to register on Porinoi.

Porinoi uses a passwordless login system — there is no password to remember. You can log in using any of these three methods:

  • Email OTP — enter your registered email address, then enter the one-time code sent to your inbox
  • Google — click Continue with Google to sign in instantly
  • Facebook — click Continue with Facebook to sign in instantly

OTP emails can sometimes land in your spam or promotions folder. If you don't see the code within 2 minutes, check there before requesting a new one.

Identity verification helps keep Porinoi safe and trustworthy for everyone. To verify your account:

  • Go to Settings → Profile → Verify Identity
  • Upload a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN card, or Voter ID)
  • Take a selfie as prompted for a face match
  • Verification is usually completed within 24–48 hours

Verified profiles receive a blue tick badge and higher match visibility. Unverified accounts may have limited features over time.

  • Click your profile picture in the top corner of the web app
  • Select Edit Profile
  • Update your photos, bio, preferences, or interests
  • Click Save when done

Changes are reflected immediately. Profile photos are reviewed by our moderation team and must comply with our content guidelines.

To update your registered email address:

  • Go to Settings → Account → Email Address
  • Enter your new email address
  • An OTP will be sent to your new email — enter it to confirm the change

If you no longer have access to your current email address and are locked out, contact support@porinoi.com with proof of identity so we can help you recover your account.

  • Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder — OTP emails sometimes get filtered
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address on the login screen
  • Wait 60 seconds before requesting a new OTP — the previous code may still be valid
  • Try opening Porinoi in a different browser or an incognito/private window
  • Check that your email inbox is not full

If OTPs consistently fail to arrive, email support@porinoi.com with your registered email address and we will help verify your account manually.

You can permanently delete your account at any time:

  • Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Confirm your decision — this action is irreversible
  • All your data, matches, and messages will be deleted within 7–30 business days

Alternatively, email privacy@porinoi.com with the subject 'Account Deletion Request'. Deleting your account does not automatically trigger a refund of unused premium features.

Yes. To take a break without deleting your account:

  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Hide My Profile
  • Your profile will not appear in match recommendations while hidden
  • You can still access your existing matches and messages
  • Re-enable visibility at any time from the same setting

Porinoi offers the following paid features:

  • Premium Plans — Unlimited matches, advanced filters, and priority visibility
  • Profile Boosts — Temporarily increase your profile's visibility in the discover feed
  • Super Recommendations — Send a special highlight to someone you're very interested in

All features are billed in INR and processed securely via Razorpay Payments.

You can subscribe directly from the Porinoi web app:

  • Click the Premium or Upgrade button in the navigation or on your dashboard
  • Choose your preferred plan (monthly, quarterly, or yearly)
  • Select your payment method — UPI, debit/credit card, or net banking
  • Complete payment via Razorpay's secure checkout
  • Your plan activates instantly after successful payment

You'll receive a payment confirmation to your registered email from both Porinoi and Razorpay.

  • Click the Premium or Upgrade button in the top navigation bar
  • Look for upgrade prompts or banners shown while browsing profiles or features
  • You can also access it directly from your profile dashboard

This can occasionally happen due to a brief delay between payment and activation:

  • Wait 15–30 minutes and refresh the page
  • Check your Razorpay payment confirmation email to verify the transaction went through
  • If the plan is still not active after 30 minutes, email billing@porinoi.com within 48 hours
  • Include your registered email and the Razorpay transaction reference ID

This qualifies for a refund or manual activation under our Refund Policy.

Refunds are only available in specific verified situations:

  • You were double-charged for the same transaction
  • Payment was deducted but the plan was not activated
  • A verified technical error on Razorpay's end caused payment without service delivery

Refunds are NOT provided for: lack of matches, no replies from users, change of mind, or accounts banned for T&C violations.

Email billing@porinoi.com within 48 hours of the transaction with your transaction ID. Verified refunds are processed in 7–10 business days.

  • Go to Settings → Premium → Manage Subscription
  • Click Cancel Auto-Renewal
  • Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation

All payments are processed through Razorpay Payments, which supports:

  • UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
  • Debit and Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
  • Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
  • Wallets (Paytm, Amazon Pay, etc.)

Porinoi does not store any card or banking information. All payment data is handled securely by Razorpay under RBI norms and PCI-DSS compliance.

  • Email billing@porinoi.com within 48 hours of the duplicate transaction
  • Include both transaction reference IDs from your Razorpay confirmation emails
  • Our team will verify and process a refund within 7–10 business days

You can also contact Razorpay's support directly to flag the duplicate charge from their side.

Your safety is our top priority. Reporting is easy and confidential:

  • Open the user's profile or the chat window
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner
  • Select Report User
  • Choose the reason (inappropriate content, harassment, fake profile, etc.)
  • Add any additional details and submit

Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24–48 hours. For urgent safety concerns, email support@porinoi.com directly.

  • Open the user's profile or chat window
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋮)
  • Select Block User
  • Blocked users cannot see your profile, message you, or find you in recommendations

Manage your blocked users list under Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.

Asking for money is strictly prohibited on Porinoi and is a sign of a scam. Do not send money to anyone you meet on the platform.

  • Do not share financial details or make any transfers
  • Report the user immediately using the report feature on their profile
  • Block the user to prevent further contact
  • Email support@porinoi.com with screenshots of the conversation

Accounts found soliciting money are permanently banned and reported to authorities where applicable.

Sharing explicit content is a serious violation and results in an immediate permanent ban.

  • Take a screenshot as evidence (do not share it further)
  • Use the Report feature on the user's profile or message thread
  • Select Explicit / Inappropriate Content as the reason
  • Email support@porinoi.com with the evidence attached

Our AI moderation system also detects and removes explicit content automatically. You can still report it even after it has been removed.

Look for these trust indicators:

  • Blue verification tick — the user has completed identity verification
  • Linked social account — the user signed up via Google or Facebook
  • Complete profile — genuine users typically have a filled-out bio and multiple photos

Be cautious of profiles with only one photo, very vague bios, or users who quickly try to move conversation off Porinoi. Always report suspicious profiles.

  • Your report is reviewed by our moderation team within 24–48 hours
  • The reported user is not notified that you submitted a report
  • If a violation is confirmed, the account is suspended or permanently banned
  • Serious violations are escalated to law enforcement under the IT Act
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the review is complete

Try the following steps in order:

  • Refresh the page (Ctrl + R on Windows, Cmd + R on Mac)
  • Check your internet connection — try switching networks or restarting your router
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies — go to your browser Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data
  • Try opening Porinoi in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily, especially ad blockers — these can interfere with the web app
  • Try an incognito / private window to rule out extension conflicts
  • Restart your device

Still not working? Email support@porinoi.com with your browser name and version and operating system details.

  • Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder — OTP emails are often filtered here
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address on the login or signup screen
  • Wait 60 seconds before requesting a new OTP — the previous code expires quickly
  • Try opening Porinoi in a different browser or an incognito window
  • Check that your email inbox is not full or over its storage limit
  • If your email provider has strict filters (e.g. some corporate emails), try a Gmail or personal address

If OTPs consistently fail to arrive, email support@porinoi.com with your registered email address and we will help verify your account manually.

  • Ensure the photo is in JPG or PNG format and under 10 MB
  • Check that your browser has permission to access your files — your browser may show a permission prompt on first use
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection during upload
  • Try a different browser if the upload button is unresponsive
  • Avoid uploading photos that may trigger content moderation — explicit, blurry, or group photos may be automatically rejected
  • You can only message users who have mutually matched with you (both liked each other)
  • Check your internet connection and refresh the page
  • If a conversation has disappeared, the other user may have unmatched or deleted their account
  • Ensure the user has not blocked you

If messaging is broken across all your conversations, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing. Email support@porinoi.com if the issue continues.

No installation is required. Porinoi is a web app — you can use it directly in your browser at porinoi.com on any device:

  • Desktop / Laptop — open any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and visit porinoi.com
  • Mobile (Android or iOS) — open porinoi.com in your mobile browser; no app download needed
  • For a faster experience on mobile, you can add Porinoi to your home screen via your browser's Share → Add to Home Screen option

Porinoi works best on the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. If you experience issues, make sure your browser is up to date.

Accounts are suspended when a Terms & Conditions violation is detected:

  • Check your registered email — we send a notification explaining the suspension reason
  • Email support@porinoi.com to appeal the decision

Accounts banned for serious violations (explicit content, fraud, harassment) are not eligible for reinstatement or refund.
